Kathryn discovered Ballroom and Latin dancing in 1998. After a few years, it became clear she wanted to make teaching her career. Kathryn graduated from the Ballroom Dance Teacher’s College in 2006 and moved to North Carolina in 2007. In addition to co-owning In the Mood to Dance, Kathryn also performs and competes with her husband, David.
